DO YOU RUN PRE & POST NATAL SESSIONS?
Pilates is a great way to exercise throughout your pregnancy and in your recovery after birth! Utilising the full array of Pilates equipment, we are able to continuously customise your Pilates program throughout your Pre and Post Natal journey. We can accommodate postural changes and prepare you for delivery and in the recovery process all the while keeping you challenged and most importantly keeping you and bub safe.
Currently, we do not run a specific Pre & Post Natal class (ie Mum's & Bub's) as we would like to be able to accommodate your Pilates session within your own timetable. We are always open to bubs joining us at the studio and can help with finding a class that falls within bubs sleep time so that you can focus on you.
IS PILATES FOR MEN?
Absolutely! Historically, Pilates was created by a man, Joseph Pilates, and was originally taught to men.
Pilates is for everybody. The use of the spring resistance means that we can control the challenge point for all different body types.
Whether you are short or tall, flexible or inflexible, male or female the method will work for you.
AM I TOO OLD / YOUNG TO BEGIN PILATES?
Age isn't a barrier to beginning a Pilates journey! With the wide variety of equipment available, we are able to customise your sessions to all fitness and age levels. Currently our eldest client is 86, and uses Pilates for a strong focus on functional movements to maintain independent living alongside balance work to prevent falls.
While the sessions do require a level of concentration and maturity in order to remain safe, with Parent/Guardian consent we are happy to work with teenagers. Pilates is a great way to complement sporting activities to reduce injuries, as well as assisting with posture strategies for those long study sessions and exams. With this in mind all of our Instructors hold current WWCC for your piece of mind.
SIGN ME UP! HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Head to our Bookings page to set up your client profile and take advantage of our Intro Package.
Sense of Power Pilates requires all new clients to undertake an Initial Consultation, regardless of experience level. Initial Consultations are a 1 on 1 session utilised as a time for us to get to know you, and for you to get to know us. Your lifestyle, interests, exercise and injury history, and ongoing goals are all important for us to understand and allows us to structure your programs and sessions with these in mind.
The Initial Consultation allows us time to understand your learning style, introduce you to the equipment safely, and start working through the foundations of the Pilates Method. If you are managing a chronic condition or recovering from an injury, the Initial Consultation also gives you and the Instructor an opportunity to ask additional questions. At the end of your Initial Consultation the instructor will be able to recommend the most appropriate package option for you to get started and assist in arranging your ongoing bookings.
MEET & GREET
We are happy to make ourselves available for a Meet & Greet at the studio to answer any additional questions that you may have before booking an Initial Consultation. Send us a message via the Contact page and we will get you booked in!
