For over ten years, Mary has embraced Pilates not just as a form of exercise but as the cornerstone of a vibrant, strong life.
Her practice has been a constant through life’s changes, including the journey of motherhood. Maintaining a consistent practice throughout her two pregnancies, has allowed her to feel and most importantly be, strong.
A firm believer in the benefits of Pilates’ mental and physical challenges, Mary is testament to how Pilates can support a busy lifestyle – especially now with her two small children!
Completing her Diploma with Pilates ITC meant Mary could continue to deepen her knowledge and understanding of Pilates. Her passion for this practice continued to grow and in May 2023, Mary joined the team at Sense of Power Pilates.
Mary’s instruction at the studio is driven by her desire to help clients discover how Pilates provides a deeper insight into body mechanics and personal potential. Her drive is in motivating clients to achieve their goals, no matter how varied their attitudes or abilities are.
Mary’s enthusiasm for Pilates is contagious, and she is passionate about sharing its comprehensive approach with everyone she comes in contact with.
When not teaching in the studio, Mary prefers to spend her days outdoors at parks, by the beach and connecting with nature through adventuring around Sydney.
What inspires Mary about Pilates?
Mary loves the promise of Pilates to bring about profound change, echoing the words of Joseph Pilates: “In 10 sessions, you’ll feel the difference; in 20, you’ll see the difference; and in 30, you’ll have a whole new body.”
